The population was 938 at the 2010 census.  Troy is a small town on the banks of the Kootenai River surrounded by tree-covered mountains with various lakes, rivers, and streams. US Highway 2 runs right through Troy which is 14 miles from the state line of Idaho. Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho is 33 miles to our northwest. Libby, the county seat is 20 miles southeast of Troy. Kalispell is approximately 110 miles east.
